We used to have four bunnies, we used specialty vet clinic for bonding twice (the second one was when we adopted Zosia as a fourth). The bonding story of the four and the boys can be written in a book.
Nevertheless:
Missy was bought from closing shop- she was placed poorly with no coverage, probably abused by humans and very underweight. She has never trust a Human. I tried for years
Zosia was addopted as a fourth bunny for getting some symmetry (it was girl and two rivals bunnies)
Zosia hated humans. Needed a free roam place without much human interaction
Now few years later.. boys are gone… We fought for their lives… Gucio's death hurt as the most as we lost him in 24 h from gi stasis. I call bullshit, as Missy had 5 GI stasis and has additional problems and she still with us. They killed him… If he gave me his drugs and he woke up near me instead of cats and dogs he will be still here…
Ok, so now there are only girls. They were bonded at the start, and they loved each other. And then Zosia let me pet her. And suddenly Missy hated Zosia.
She hated her for years
Today I saw them cuddling. I finally understand.
