Help – my bunnies won’t use their house!

Meet LeBun James and Steph Furry.
They have 0 survival skillz… its winter now in denmark and raining/freezing alot, and im scared they cant figure out how to manage different weather

I have them in my closed backyard, where they have a house of 1-2 square meters they can go inside in.

I put sawdust and hay inside the house, for them to stay warm. Its elevated off the ground.
I allso put a small litterbox inside that they like to use.

But i never see them use the house for other than the litterbox. We keep everything clean.

but when its raining they stay outside and get drenched. When its freezing they allso seem to stay outside, and im scared their fur is not thick enough for them to stay warm.

So we tend to take them inside in a smaller cage when its raining and freezing. But its quite the bother, and the bunnies hate to be in that cage.

Why won't they use the house for cover? Are they really that stupid, or are we over protective?

Could it be the size of the house? Because its a bit tight for both of them. But they like to snuggle up in corners anyway.

Help me. I want them to be more independent and us not having to worry about their survival and well beeing all the time 😅
