[DISCLAIMER] if you have a rabbit and want them to have a friend, get another rabbit. if you have a guinea pig and want them to have a friend, get another guinea pig.
Rabbits and guinea pigs are not good animals to be friends with eachother and you require a proper understanding of both if you want to house them together.
You shouldn’t EVER put rabbits and guinea pigs in the same cage and shouldn’t EVER let a guinea pig and a rabbit play together without supervision.
Rabbits have very strong back legs and not very obvious ways to show discontent. If a guinea pig finds its way behind an annoyed rabbit, it could end up fatal.
We are housing the rabbit temporarily, and the guinea pig is mine which I have had for years (see my other videos) We didnt get the rabbit to be the guinea pig’s friend, as it is irresponsible and reckless.
Please excerise caution if you find yourself caring for both animals. Allow them to meet, be prepared to separate them quickly, let them get used to eachother in a neutral place (a spot that neither one considers theirs, aka, not in the cage of one or the other. A good spot may be a bathtub or living room floor.) A bad situation may become traumatic very quickly to either animal, so please do research before anything.
